Ezio Ghibaudo began his musical studies under the guidance of Giorgio Dellarole, graduating with honours and receiving a scholarship for the best graduate students at the Conservatory of Aosta. He continued his musical education at the Italian Accordion Academy in Urbino, taking part in Alexander Technique and accordion master classes with Claudio Jacomucci.

At the University of Musik in Würzburg (Germany) he finished his Master Degree with Stefan Hussong.

He attended also masterclasses held by Ivano Battiston, Mie Miki, Joseph Macerollo, Matti Rantanen, Iñaki Alberdi. He gained also experiences through the study of the different repertoires with Felice Fugazza, Marco Farolfi, Michele Andalò, Vinko Globokar.

He has successfully participated and he was prize winner in different national and international competitions, in Italy and abroad such as: International competition in Stresa, Audition of the Jeunesse Musicales, scholarship dedicated to “Salvatore di Gesualdo” at the Premio delle Arti organised by MIUR (Ministery of University, Art and Research), Rassegna Migliori Diplomati d’Italia (best Italian graduated students competition), competitions in Bellagio, Piove di Sacco, Alassio, Casarza Ligure, Roveredo, Airolo and others.

He was chosen to represent Italy at the 65th Coupe Mondiale of Accordion IMC-UNESCO in Spoleto and at the 63rd Throphée Mondial of accordion in Samara, Russia.

He has collaborated with musicians and directors such as Sandro Gorli, Maurizio Longoni, Laura Catrani, Dario Garegnani, Yuval Avital, Massimiliano Limonetti and he regularly performs with different ensembles.

He played with Collegium Vocale of Koblenz, Orchestra Sinfonica della Valle d’Aosta, and with the Orchestra M. Branche he played for the first time ever the Concerto BWV 1065 for four harpsichord and orchestra of J. S. Bach.

He achieved records for RAI (National Italian Television), RTS Belgrade, and for the Italian New York ICN Radio. His works for accordion are published from Ricordi/Universal, Da Vinci Edition, Physa Musical Editions.

He has performed in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Netherlands, U.S.A., Japan for various festival and institutions such as Jeunesse Musicales, Piemonte in Musica, Bellagio Festival, Aosta Classica, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Gasteig in Munich, Conservatoire Aubervilliers in Paris, Italian Cultural Institut of Amsterdam, Belmont Library and Enrico Fermi Cultural Center in New York, Tokyo College of Music among others.

Through his concert activity he’s always involved to bring the fully possibilities of the classical accordion to the audience, with a wide range repertory from Baroque music to the most important contemporary pieces.
